Hi, I have a Audi a8 3.0tdi and it has a remap for 300bhp but, just recently it was acting up by only going 135mph (around 215km/h) and when it reaches 3500rpm at that speed it doesn't go more and it did 175mph on autobhan easily I don't know what's happening and in a few days I'll be getting VCDS.
Thanks :kissmyrings:

Get vcds, run some logs on fuel pressure and boost pressure, maybe run the maf readings too, should hopefully give you indication on what's goin on, even better if its logged some fault codes too.

Boost leak, turbo goosed,DPF blocked if you still have that in.
I presume that 175mph is not a GPS speed and is off the speedo which is probably a lttle optomistic at those speeds. Mine makes a bit more power than yours and is a smaller car , I can't imagine it would do 175mph though.
As above you need to run some logs and check for fault codes.

Karl.

Few faults there, The transmission mount fault code short to ground usually occurs when there is no power for some reason. So a blown fuse, disconnection etc. Won't be causing you any issues.
The intake manifold runner is most very likely due to wear in the rods, easy to deal with and very common. I have changed both of the ones on my car. There are some pictures on my build thread.

I don't think this will cause your issue.

The EGR issue is possibly related to your problem. EGR flow is measured by the MAF and if this failing or has low output then this will limit fuelling. Do you have a performance air filter, K and N type oiled filter ?.
The oil off these can mess the MAF up.

Do some logs of MAF, RPM , throttle ,and specified and actual boost on a 2nd or third gear acceleration run from 1200-4500 RPM.

Hi, sorry for really late reply but the egr and intake manifold and everything else is gone this happend to to a bad remap file but it still only goes 135mph no more but the engine wants to go faster so I think that there is a problem with the transmission something not letting it go more as soon I get access to vcds I'll scan the transmission. thanks

Try logging the exhaust gas temps on the turbo. If it gets to 850 degrees it starts limiting fuel.

Karl.

But when I go 135mph and floor it it downshifts and goes to high revs in sport mode but it seems like the transmission is blocking it. The transmission hydraulics are possibley bad as it jitters sometimes when changing from 2nd to 3rd

I'm very skeptical as to whether a 3.0 TDi even remapped for 300bhp will hit 175mph.

But anyway, to get to that speed you would have to have the speed limiter removed/adjusted, make sure this dodgy remap didn't reintroduce the limiter.

They are all Electronically Speed Limited to 155mph or 135mph depending on country you are in or car is from.

The only way they can go faster is to have the Electronic Limiter removed/adjusted.

I think that is what the poster has said the limiter has been removed when the car was mapped. Not difficult to do apparently.
