Help please - Will a saloon rear door fit an avant?

Hi Folks,
I find myself with a damaged rear door on my 2002 avant tdi, I was wondering if a saloon A6 rear door will fit an avant?

i know the window frame is a different shape but i was wondering if the lower assembly is a common part?

Appreciate if someone could clear this up for sure because they look very similar.

Hi fella any joy on fitting it? Just dented my rear door on avant this morning, and took a punt on buying one from saloon to fit!

It will fit mate, they are same apart from wondow frame. You will have fun with it !
 
Yep - Door fitted fine, just need to remove the saloon frame and fit your avant one as adamss24 said.
colour match was good on mine so didn't need any further work.
very pleased with the result.
