I've always felt that my tqs is slightly down on power although I've not had it checked or have anything to compare it to.

I've read that the standard dv can cause issues but are there any other common faults? It does sometimes flutter on gear changes which I didn't expect.

Air filter, plugs, oils etc have all been changed regularly and recently.

First and foremost id be throwing a boost gauge in as this will give a good indication to wether a) the turbo is flowing the correct boost and holding or see if its fluctuating etc b) will show if your vacuum is correct. Its the first step i would take then id check over all you pipework (boost/vac/vent/crank etc) check the DV quite cheap to just swap it out and replace it, also listen for a rattle on overrun which could be a faulty wastegate penny valve which isnt unheard of.

But the boost gauge will pinpoint you as to where to start. Also id do a scan and log with vagcom just to see if there any anomalies showing up !!

Of course it feels as flat as a pancake compared to a Stage 3a+ , b ? S14 a .

Cheers for the advise. Don't really want a boost gauge on show but could hide it in the glovebox if its got peak hold like the one in my other car. Last time it was scanned it had no real issues.

Ha ha yep, this has less than half the power and weighs more but that aside it feels more like 150bhp than 180bhp :(

Not that I know of mate. Just a custom map. My sx has procams, uprated springs/retainers and a few other bits to refresh the head :)
