Audi A6 s line BE or a BMW 5 series m sport

Do you mean A4? If so remember there is a completely new model due later this year so demand a big discount on an outgoing one. If you meant A6 then as a "Driver's car" you will probably prefer the 5 Series, that said I prefer the A6 and the number of times you can really exploit a car to notice the difference is minimal these days. You make no mention of what engine you are considering or whether it is new or used. the A6 has just been facelifted and prior to that the 2.0 engine was changed (badged ultra). With the facelift and engine change Audi dropped the multitronic gearbox on the fwd cars and now specs the S-Tronic (DSG) box which resolves on of the major complaints regarding the economy from the multitronic. All quattros come with either S-Tronic or Tiptronic gearboxes. Unless you go for the S6 or RS6 you will find all A6s are diesel (except for a few early cars that were sold with the supercharged 3.0TFSi engine and the very rare and now discontinued hybrid which had a 2.0 petrol engine. The 5 series is due to be replaced next year whilst the A6 will not be changed until 2017 or even 2018.
