Here's the replacement
Audi a4 s line, avant Quattro special edition lol.*

2.0Tfsi*
Mfsw
Cruise control
Comfort indicators
Mfd

I bought the car off pat, long time member of ukmivs and a big dubber, so I knew the history.*

My plans are simple, oem plus.*

The cars already lowered on hr springs, so that's saved me a job.

Yesterday was the first day of mods, one day into ownership.*

Rang Audi

Ordered some mats,*
The led ambient light*

Then fitted this.*

The latest model out of an s3 fully converted to the b7 platform, twin 32gb card drives, update maps,*

Then today I ordered my wheels.*

Again, probably done to death but I like them.*

19" bbs speed lines, 8.5 et 40ish

With a view to looking like this.*

Tomorrow the cars being mapped, by the same guy who did the Leon, after such a good job on that.*

I'm also looking to fit foot well lighting, and coming home lights, possibly Xenons too.*

so today saw audi drop these off

so onto the install

matt clip in so no sliding about

nice of audi to sell the front and rear matts separate, £30 is each!

then onto the ambient light

holes drilled

and done

then my remap guy came around, hyperchips.

he mapped the leon and that gave very good results, logs were spot on. so got the audi done, noticible difference so very happy

oh then the del guy dropped these little beauty's off

that is all

jake

Nice car.

That last picture you posted is that your vehicle as well? Because it looks like a B6 Audi or did you mean that's the look you going for?

Great start. Cars got a lot of potential and Speedlines may be "done to death" but for a reason, great choice of wheel and one of my all time favs.

Looking forward to seeing this progress!!

Just out of interest what's Pat replacing it with?

yeah the car with speedlines is just a visual reference,

pats downsizing as hes moving into the wonderful world of home ownership lol

nice avant there, i do like the special editions with the ronal dtm's on though.
I have been chopping and changing my mind on wether to change mine , but i have decided to keep the dtm's on , they just look right and make it stand out from all the rest, total pain to keep clean but when clean they do look great.
I must ask , are you running any wheel spacers on it , if so , what size and are they F&R or just back.
nice one.

I'll be keeping the wheels for when I do sell the car.

No spacers yet. I may space once I fit the 19" though

kufatech loom ordered for the lights
led interior and exterior lights ordered
just bagged a set of sunvisors with lights for £20 off the bay too,
also got warning lights and puddle lights off ebay, ive ordered red led for floor ambient lighting front and back and then a set of footwell lights too
this car will be full spec once done haha

Looking great and no hanging around with all those mods too !

What were you using for the footwell ambients ? I used the factory centre console part the same as you, but to be honest, I'm a little underwhelmed, I don't want Blackpool illuminations , but I feel they could be a little brighter....

It's the factory item same as you it's pants haha. I may buy some red led and fit them instead.

On my Leon I used small strip led in the footwells just to give a bit of light at night. As you say nothing to outrageous

Installed red led ambient lighting in the footwells and under the back seats today, used a fuse tap so they come on with ignition. Very subtle will try to get a pic with a better camera.

So they'll be on all the time you're driving? I ran a wire down from the interior light so they come on and off with the other lights.

Always loved estate cars and that thing has potential, really liking the head unit wheels will really set it off

I'm hoping so, the wheels should be here today.

Already have a colour sorted for them, then it's just a case of waiting for various bits off eBay, and main dealers to arrive. My coming home light switch has gone back ordered.

I like the way your going for an oem sort of look trying to go with that myself, eBay is real handy lik. Be good to see the wheels on

Went in this car the other day to pick my new Audi up, It really is a stunning car & sooo comfy. The red foot well lights are a really nice touch at night, it makes the interior feel warm and classy.

Well today has been productive.

First thing this morning my wheels turned up

So at lunch I split them,

Then set about polishing the worst rim, this would determine wether the lips get painted or polished to my surprise I got 99% of the marks out,

The centres will possibly be going same colour as the car.

Then the Vw guy turned up with my new switch.

So using the guide off here, I now have coming home lights.

The cupra used the headlight xenons for this feature and gave loads of light. So I've bought a h11 hid fog light kit, 4300k to illuminate the situation lol

One downer is the sun visors with lights in turned up the wrong colour lol

Tomorrow I'm picking up a Bluetooth unit too, to cant wait for that

Jake

The wheel centres have been dropped off for chemical dipping, then weekend I'm getting blue tooth added.
I nearly bought a dimming mirror and Uto lights but the harness had been hacked up

You need to run two wires.

One joins the head light switch nd the other goes into the convenience module.

Some of the Exeo prcing is very tempting indeed....ok, been discontinued and a some odd design finishes.....but you could pick up a right old bargain if you can handle it's looks.

I actually like and prefer looks on the Exeo ST (i.e. vs Avant) which is what I went for, though I think the Audi Saloon looks better than the Exeo Saloon. Bonus (aside from price) is that it also got some of the uprated parts (e.g. rev D DV etc) as it was a few years on.

Yeah I agree if you want a car that your going to keep then the exeo makes perfect sense as it's hell of a lot of car for the money, only problem with them is residual and selling on , and like me who only keep cars 6-9months would be a bad option.

Fair play and agree with that! I picked mine up being 4 years old (so someone else has already taken alot of the depreciation hit!) and I'll prob keep it for 4 years, I'm hoping at that part of the depreciation curve I won't suffer more than if I had got an audi!

Agreed, well if you were planning on keeping it a while then, then it's a no brainer imho!....helluva lot of car for the money.

I picked up my centres earlier. All dipped clean ready for primer.

Will prime them tomorrow, does anyone know if you locktite the bolts back in. I know there 24/26 ftlb torque

Jake

Will look even more stunning on those wheels pal.

The trip to pick the bluetooth up last night was an event lol

Went to meet the guy in Manchester. He told us the wrong street, we ended up going slowly down so dark dingy street very slowly looking for his car, turns out there were atleast 4 prostitutes on the street and we had two hundred pounds in cash on us, lol quick phone call and we were quickly on the right street haha sadly all the wires had been chopped on the Bluetooth so it was useless.

So you went back to see the Ladies with that money burning a hole in your pocket.
