Picked up my new car!

Another bit done!

I personally find it really easy. Just a bit fiddly on tight corners. I don't know how much you need as it just used stuff I had left over from months ago! Need to buy a little more for the main dash though.

Haha, I'm also wrapping mine. Ironically, I wanted them to look like yours, but they're much darker :(

PS: when buying the dash trim wrap, keep the direction of the lines in mind.. the standard width is 1.42m (enough for the dash), but the lines might be running vertically.. so you're stuck with a piece as wide as however meters you buy. Dunno if it makes sense.

I know what you mean. It's best to get a square bit that's long enough in both directions plus a bit extra. That means you can sort the pattern out the right way and have plenty of stuff to work with!

I love this! But as I have gloss black trim from factory, I don't want to ruin in as it looks nice....but could like better like yours....
It's pretty cheap to buy the vinyl, plus it's easy to do. Best part is that it'll come back off if you don't like it ;)

I wasn't so sure earlier on, but I'm already starting to like it!

Easy peasy just pop off. The main trim on the dash has three bolts. You need to pop off the plastic bit above the stereo but below the trim as it hides the bolts but that's easy to take off. Then the panel on the left like the one for the fuses.

Really nice seeing you taking good care of it mate. I'm sure it'll pay you back.

Just ordered 4 new tyres, Uniroyal Rainsport 3's! Getting 4 new shocks fitted this weekend / next week, along with my b5 perches! Then after that it's tyres fitted and balanced, along with alignment, full service and MOT. Hopefully squeeze in some spacers or new springs too!!

Wallet gonna hurt!

What shocks are you getting? because some people have reported not being able to fit B5 perches on anything other than OE shocks..

Just OEM sport shocks mate. Did toy with the idea of bilsteins but binned that idea when I seen the b5 perches wouldn't fit haha

Don't mean to sound rude, but OEM part: original equipment manufacturer part, made by the same company that made the original shocks without the Audi logo; OEM could or could not be a 1:1 identical part (like some equivalent shocks that are obviously different since the perches don't fit).
OE = original equipment, same thing the car had new :)

How much did you pay for the shocks? post some pics asap after you put them up! :)

Ah i didnt know there was a difference! Cheers for letting me know. My mechanic has ordered them through trade. So I can only guess he's ordered OE? I'm getting the fronts at £48+vat and the rears at £35+vat.

Just ordered my Sach shocks all round. Hopefully they don't take long to arrive. Then I can start the ball rolling on getting her back on the road!

It will probably blow your mind when you first drive it again what with the new tyres fitted as well mate.
Which springs are you fitting?

I hope it does haha. Hopefully eibach pro or h&r 35mm. If I can afford them haha. I know you can get them cheaper from the German eBay!

The devil inside me wants to go for h&r 35mm, but the 'sensible' option would be the eibachs!
