After fitting the new grill last weekend i had itchy feet and wanted to do more..

I finally committed to buying some Coilovers, these have arrived today! Being fitted late this week and can't wait!

Having a couple of other little bits done too, front blade and dash trim wrapped in gloss black, wheels cleaned and treated, possibly new rear silencers and slightly larger tips but still keeping with the OEM feel

Have been toying with the idea of a wrap but now thinking about spending some money getting the paint in a really good place instead as we like the colour so why change it!

Looks good, so you went for the APs then how low you going with them? ;) I see you have a splitter on can I ask which one and where from?

Probably around 40mm I reckon, also bought spacers, took a gamble with 12mm for rear and 10mm for front h&r's hoping they will be ok after lowering..

The splitters/lip is from eBay

Wasn't sure when it arrived but fitted looks really good. A little crude as screwed to front bumper and then trimmed with kitchen scissors! But overall effect is really good imo

Your spacers should be fine with 40mm drop good choice going with H&R though, splitter actually looks pretty good, maybe it's what I need as it doesn't matter if it gets ripped off for that price.

Car now with the guys doing the work for me, can't get to them to pick it up until Tuesday though so gonna be a long weekend of waiting!

They are doing a little bit of wrapping and probably spraying as well now as I want the front bumper grills gloss black and the rear valance

Just a question for you, are the s-line badges oem and where do you get them from?
The car looks good by the way ;)

They aren't OEM but once fitter you wouldn't know. These are from eBay, just make sure you check if they have white or black adhesive tape. You will want black.

So mods are already being considered for yours?!

Thanks for the info, not sure yet. Possible a remap, the usual settings on vcds.

That looks good, looks quite low, watch how you go at that height lol mines forever catching on grates in the middle of the road.

Yeah it does look quite low, not see the car yet.. The rears hadn't been done in that pic so may have made the front look a little lower...

The front splitter would last 10 minutes where I live. There are so many speed bumps you would have to avoid certain routes completely in a car that low.

I'm taking it that the spacers arnt fitted in that photo?

car looks sweet mate. makes me want to lower mine but the ride is already hard with the s line suspension and 18" wheels

The sline suspension is s**t that's why lol get a decent coilover set up and the ride will be improved.

I currently have the same kit as A5BlackEd which is the AP coilover set up and I really can't fault it I would happily recommend to anyone, just about to swap for H&R though but only because they go lower but the ride with H&R are a bit firmer so I'm sacrificing ride quality :/

Looking good mate, spacers make such a difference to the look of the arches with the car lowered.
Good job. :thumbs up:

Had a couple of light scrapes from the offside front wheel against the liner that will need sorting but I will probably need some advice on how to pull it in! Been trying to make it happen so I can see where the scuff marks are

Car handles so much better, feels so flat and is as comfortable as the original suspension was. Very pleased, thanks for all the help getting this far

Looks great. Getting mine fitted on the 14th. Currently feel like I am driving a monster truck!

The scrape may only be the tyre rubbing off the screw that holds the liner to the wing, run your fingers round the inside of the wing, you'll feel it. I removed both sides when I lowered my A4 b8 and that cured the scraping. Worth a try

Yep mine was the same John took it out and it was fine until the X5s were fitted then that just opened up a whole new level of scraping lol I have rolled and flared my arches and still rubs like mad :(

Did you get the H&Rs off the guy near Wolves who's gone on air? I so nearly bought them before Christmas but was concerned about the firmness of ride as Mrs would have given me hell!

Thanks SI-W85 specifically for the advice in the AP Coilovers, I'm very happy with them and they aren't a bad price either!

Thanks for the advice, is I felt one near the top of the arch, is that the one you are referring to?
