I'm hoping you guys are able to advise me on a new clutch. I have a 1.9 Tdi 130 sport AWX FWD, 5 speed box.

I had a Ibiza 1.9 130 with a DTUK tuning box, sold the car but took the box off. I've now fitted it to the A4, it has made a massive difference, I started of on low settings and worked up to a 4+2 tune. My lord this oil burner flies. Problem is the clutch slipped almost straight away. Not bad considering the cars on 142k and it's never been changed, so it's due.

I've turned the tune down now, so no slippage. My question is, what clutches and DMF do people recommend?

I want something that can take the extra power, plus I still haven't fitted a BV43 I have waiting in the garage. I don't want to go down the SMF route though.

Any ideas?

You will need a new DMF and you can spec a Southbend clutch or a Sachs Race Engineering clutch, it will hold 550 Nm of torque as well !

Sounds good. OEM DMF or after market?

I've had a look about, I have trade discount with a few places around my way.

I can get a LUK clutch kit, LUK DMF and bolts for about £160 when it all should be £367.

What do you think? Will a LUK set up hold the new power?
