Ok so basically i was driving at around 70mph then desided to get a bit excited and put my foot down.

The car started to pick up speed as normal all the way to 127mph..maxes out at 146mph (2.0lt tdi)
Then all of a sudden no power.. it felt as if the car turnt itself off it eventually brang itself to 80mph and stayed there even with my foot all the way down (limp mode?)

5th and 6th gear had no power and very minimul in 4th.

I have just had a new turbo fitted and it was fine the last week or so, so wouldnt expect it to be that.
The car was also remapped befour the new turbo to just under 200bhp

As i started to drive normal i could hear the turbo spool at very low revs say 2k and as soon as it got to 3k it stops no power just as if it was a n/a car.

Can anyone help please

Sorry if this is in the wrong place or anything im new to this forum thing

have you had the car scanned for codes?
who done the remap?

also why would you be driving like that on a public road........

Not scanned yet but im guessing this would be the first thing i should do. The engine managment light has been on but after a bit of driving turns itself off then comes on again when the car is turnt off and on again.

The remap was done by darkside some time ago the previous owner didnt seem to give much info on the map just a rough estimate of the bhp and the company that done it.

And as for the public road techincally its a road under construction and is closed but on the odd occasion they alow us in to test are cars. No harm done

Thanks for the reply

Try the simple things first. My Vw van did the same thing... and it was simply blowing off an intercooler pipe. There was no noise just a loss of power like the turbo had been switched off. Luckily I'd guessed as much as I'd just finished taking the alternator out and back in which meant removing an pipe which hadn't quite clipped in properly. Easily fixed...

Guys thanks for you help turns out the main hose from the turbo going to the intercooler was not connecting properly and creating a huge leak hence the turbo spooling but no power pretty much the same problem you had @Spacemonkey the issue was the turbo was not machined properly (wtf) apparently this never happens looks like I was the lucky one. So machined properly and now all is good.

Thanks again guys
