Hi guy's went to change rear wiper arm on my 2008 s line avant the one on the lift up door and it is seized onto the spindle with it being attached to the glass don't want to start banging too close to the glass to heat it up , I have soaked it in wd40 still wont let go has anyone some idea's about getting it off apart from cutting it off ?

Wiper arm puller, ebay, job done, don't try anything else as its a risk to the glass & mechanism.

I tried a wiper arm puller on mine, didn't budge it. I ended up using a battery terminal puller that I got from machine mart, did a much better job and was actually cheaper than the wiper arm puller I bought. Was about £8 if I remember right.

I will try that if what I bought doesn't work Thanks

It should work, pre soak in plus gas or any penetrating spray, then if it still isn't budging whilst putting pressure on it some taps with a light hammer on the arm itself by the spindle should help things along, obviously not too vigerous as the glass is there.

I've seen them so welded on that the only option was to take a hack saw to the spindle, but I've never understood why you would want to remove the rear wiper.

I always do remove them and plug up the scoosher hose. Its gives a cleaner look to the car, the tube will more than likely burst at some point anyway or the motor jam up.
Saves some problems just by removing it altogether.

Before you reinstall it, put some copper grease or neverseize on the stub so that it won't seize again.
