I know I've mentioned it before and also tried a full exhaust change which didn't go down well with the Mrs...
So all I want to do is make the tips fill the valance better.

It looks crap on mine, even new tdis have a better tailpipe!

So I want to swap the pipes for something else without swapping the system and changing the sound.

I understand I would need to cut them off?

I guess I just need to find someone to fabricate something? Any suggestions ??

Surprised I'm first.. But then I guess most would swap system

I'm going to take mine to a custom place to replace the tips and mufflers at the back

I think those APR tips are designed to go on their own system, and not the OEM exhaust though?
Any local exhaust fabricator/specialist should be able to cut your old tips off and weld on something more suitable. I had my tips done this way on my old 335i BMW. Cost me £140 to have both sides changed for stainless steel, larger diameter tips.

I know 2 very good places in Sheffield

Someone in the USA used the apr tips on standard which is where I got the idea

Took all my cars to exhausts uk and never had any issues. That's where I'll be taking mine
they are good not as good as they were as the main benders have left
owners are very good friends of mine.

I use them for certain things and get my parts from them as I get a good discount

Lol @ main benders...the child in me can't resist!!
They should be fine with an axle back exhaust

Spoke to my not so local custom exhaust place the other day, he said the would replace the boxes rather than change the tips as it is to much messing about, I will be going in for new boxes with rs6 ovals at some point in the future
