What have you done today?

My engine light came on today and the door lock were frozen when I finished work at 11pm. Finally got the door open, and it wouldn't ****** shut! Lol. Nothing a kettle of hot water couldn't fix thankfully! (The door is probably water welded shut now)

Another busy day. Oil and filter change, replaced injector seals and replaced all the wipers and dodgy rear wiper motor.

Modified the gear linkage setup and replaced the gear cables on this, then took it for a spin .

Drift much???
LOL - it has speakers in the doors.

Another busy Saturday. New rear discs and pads fitted, new fuel filter and changed front cv boots. Needs new drop links. Never ending spending on these cars!

I did over 100k in mine and found the maintenance remarkably cheap! Everything you have done today is a wear item. Or have you done them not so long ago?

It just seams that every week it's needing something! Understand today's was maintenance but as I have only had the car approx 3 months I feel that I am spending a fair bit on it to keep it road worthy. However, light at the end of the tunnel as once the drop links are done, that should be it for a while(fingers crossed)

Cool. Your rear pads and discs should last up to 40k depending on how you drive :)

You must show us some Pictures of the result, whenever you fit them!

Was it hard to disassemble them, to paint them?
Thinking of painting mine Black.. Did you use heat resistance or just plain red?

For 20€? :sadlike:
Somebody send me a pair of those for that price and I'll facelift my A3 ASAP. That is a crazy price. The best price I've seen for FL lights are like 160€ a pair.

Introduced my old jack to it's new big brother, I think it was a little scared.I know I was when it turned up, I think maybe I should of read the specs a little closer, as I didn't think it was going to be quite that big or heavy! lol.

Blue LED Philips sidelight bulbs came today, so will be fitting them and doing n249 by bass tommorow, then headlight restoration next weekend

followed tufftys guide and changed my stack boost gauge light to res oem look looks a lot better. new number plate bulbs changed.

ordered all new drop links for front and back, front tack rod ends, front ball joints, seat Leon Cupar r top mounts and bearings and the service things for an oil change. all bought from euro car parts.

4 whell alignment doing once all fitted never had it done hope it will be werth it.

handbrake cable. which was surprisingly easy, the old one would hardly move
new cheapo bosch alternator
got my vcds cable to work and started logging the fuel sender readings to see if the sender or gauge that is now very non linear, it gets to about 350 miles on top 1/2 of tank then behaves like an S3 and does150 miles in the remaining 1/2 tank
put the door blade back on after about 6 months of it sitting in my office

Just a heads up, when I purchased my S3 it had OEM Audi roof racks on it & all four areas where they sit had rubbed the clear coat off. I was lucky as this was repaired when my roof rail rust was done by Audi. If I ever use roof racks again, I will be putting some kind of 3M protection on.
