Grale1 A3 build / project ( slow build )

I guess this means your red(ish) one wont be outside phils every time i pop down now :p. I'm definitely a bit jealous, if i ever come in to a bit of money that i don't already have plans for (or spend on a entirely new car) i'll be looking at getting my engine forged. Stage 2 will give me the extra little kick i need to keep me entertained in the mean time!

The red one is still at Phil's in peaces, next time I'm down there it will be taken away for scrap,

I wanted to do an update but can't seem to upload any pictures with the iPad? Which was a shame as I had found a few that Phil had sent me whilst he was doing bits and peaces to it, and it's now booked in to Bills for mapping on the 26th Feb

Hi guys thought I'd try an upload a few pics that I found on the phone from when all the work was being done to my car

This is my lastest car which I picked up for a bargin back in October for the total price of £400 with 10 mot and all it needed was the metal brake pipe to the rear caliper changing as it was split, an easy £23 fix :).

I had the engine from my A3 which was a freshly rebuilt forged AGU with rebuilt head and k04 conversion done. Mods done are standard k04, relentless V1, 3" relentless downpipe Decat with 3" straight through to Miltek box, B5 billet tip , S2000 filter forge 007p wellycooler with 3" outlets, 2.5" cooler pipe work, meth kit with throttle body spacer for meth, inlet manifold spacer Brembo s with ds3000 pads uprated discs, prob stuff I've missed, it was mapped at B5 in Feb with the result being 302.8bhp.

Well my little story continues with the 8L's. Phil had my car for a little while putting a new steering rack alternator power steering pump and batter on the car as they all packed up lol, anyways I picked the car up on the 5th of this month and it was the first time I had really driven it properly since it was mapped, as I got home my neighbour caught and started talking about the car and it was sold on the Saturday morning.

I quickly replaced it with a Dolphin grey S3 that's pretty much standard engine wise, I must admit that I much happier with this one even though it needs some little gremlins sorting as it has a random misfire hesitation on boost, it's just had a new alternator battery rear passenger side caliper. Hopefully I can get it scanned this weekend to see where to go with the misfire. But I must say I do love the S3. :)

Well I've had the S3 for around a month now and I do prefer it to the A3's ive had, it has a few issues with it which I will get sorted. I found the issue with the boost problem which turned out to be one of the hose under the inlet to fpr. Now it's come to light I Proberly need a turbo as it makes a funny noise on boost and it's going through oil, this has forced my hand a bit and it will be forged and a hybrid put on it. But before I do all that I will get the other problems sorted along with the tracking as its a mile out on the rear etc.
