I got two new rear boots fitted. For the fun of it decided to see what pulling fuse 31 did (disables the Haldex) - it's so weird in 2wd mode......actually seems more feisty and hooligan like, but much less planted and solid than normal. Decided to plug it back in after a few minutes because it made the ESP light permanently stay on. Plugging the fuse back in turned it off. Got a leather armrest winging its way in the post so will fit that next weekend if it doesn't arrive tomorrow and will give it a clean Sunday as the weather in the south looks half decent for a change!

A new dress for New Year :)

Retro-fitted the armrest today! Just went out for a test drive and its great. Love it. Need to give it a clean/polish/feed (along with the rest of the interior) to blend the lid in a bit more and shine it up a bit. Will do that next week after my trip to Bill's.

Sweet. You know it tips down a bit more so not horizontal? I found it more comfortable.

Having developed a mysterious water leak which gave the noise of water rushing around behind the glovebox when turning left, removed the wipers and plastic trim.

Removed a stack of leaves and accumulated crap, and cleaned the channel that the plastic trim sits in, as some parts weren't sitting flush with the windscreen. Some water sat in the intake under the pollen filter, which was what I could hear sloshing around, so removed that.

Unless they're all like it, looks like someone at Audi has cut into the plastic trim to allow it to flap up for changing the pollen filter. Have now ghetto'd its with some duct tape, so it's at least watertight again.

Will buy new plastic trim and pollen filter and replace.

Snow foam and washed once all back together.

Still driving nice with B5 tip.

Still considering B5 remap.

Still considering eibach springs and new dampers and poly bushes.

aye i have the flap also,

changed the thermostate on mine today as the temp gauge has been weird temp gauge would slowly rise if the heaters wernt on and once to temp on the gauge i could put the heater on but it would slowly drop.

took about half an hour to swap in the ******* rain didnt move the alternator but the bottom bolt was a biatch to get back in, but i managed it :D temp gauge seems spot on now, tested the old thermometer and it doesnt open up so thats one of many probs fixed :D

I drove my car to work :)

I also clay barred my bonnet and side fenders last night. First time using a clay bar. The paint is so smooth, I cant stop touching it - I feel like peadophile :(

Changed the battery for one that works! This cold snap finished off the one that the car came with.

Ah ok, thanks! I have the arm rest but switched out my interior for leather, but had no arm rest. A friend bought a leather cover for his but I can't seem to find any online, so if anyone knows where you can just get the leather cover, I'd be most appreciative.

It might be worth taking it to a leather trimmers and just getting it re-trimmed. Certainly easier than finding just a lid! Good luck.

Haldex oil and filter change, well over due was the comments from the guy who did it. Treated it to some Forte fuel stuff too

N249 delete and replaced all the vac pipes. Ooh and put the dump valve on the right way! Car is running spot on.

Put my new pressed plate on & holder. Reattached my lcr splitter which got ripped off and masked up around my headlights ready to get the DA on them before i stick flyeyes on... Then realised my extention lead isn't long enough >.<

Changed my pollen filter. Pics doing the talking

Programmed a second key to the immobilizer, after several failed trys to get the skc with vag tacho, I came across some other software and was able to get the skc from reading the ecu instead and then program the new key with vcds.Happy about that

Also scanned the car for faults whilst I was at it and got one for the alarm siren 01134, so that will explain why it started going off when I turned the car on the otherday, so I'm assuming the batteries are dead in it and need replacing

Sorting out something a little different... :)

Took the mule to Badger5 on Saturday to re-wire knock sensor 1, get a smoke test and adjust the map. Bill and Paul were great and the car's running great. Thanks very much chaps!! Gave her a clean this afternoon and tucked her up because it's going to be a cold and frosty one tonight.
