hi I have the Audi A3 2ltr tdi 140hp on a 2010 plate

When I go long journeys the car goes into limp mode (coil light flashes and does not get full power)
If I pull over switch off ignition and restart, all is back to normal??

This only happens on long motorway journeys, I've had it scanned but with no fault codes stored??

It's only covered 33,000 miles and is fully serviced

Any help would be much appreciated

:) have it scanned with VCDS, snap on scanners dont show all VAG codes, when i got the all new Ethos i was told it was bang on, used it on my mk5 had no codes, plugged VCDS in and had 6 faults, i only use the snap on one for non VAG stuff as its not that great tbh

Cool I will try and source someone in my area with the correct tool....
Thanks

Is it doing a dpf regen by any chance.

No not doing a regeneration......its the coil symbol that flashes, dpf light is NOT on!!!
If u restart the car fault goes away

Sticking turbo vanes causing over boost?

Needs scanning with VCDS

Sticking turbo vanes causing overboost maybe?

Needs a VCDS scan

As above - scan for errors with a proper tool.

Definitely sounds like sticking vanes from what you've described: 33,000 over four years points to a car that has been driven locally often. I would wager you'd notice this more then you're in 5th or 6th gear? I used Forte Turbo Cleaner and haven't had the issue since.
