Waiting for my 8p2 version to arrive and will review it once fitted if you're interested

Yeah that would be good. Where did you order from?

Do you think this'll fit in a stock bumper?

The one i posted is for a facelift 8p. There are loads on ebay for the original shape

I spoke to the guy, Stephen his name is, via email from his website about it but he was out of stock - emailed me last week to say they were back in and I bought through ebay for PayPal.
If he's got no more on ebay I would definitely see if he's getting more ad wait; I did look at FK alternatives but I don't like the solid crossmember where the plate goes; this one is much more like OEM with a floating plate and badge holder!

So you ordered the exact one i posted? Thats what i like about this one too. I want to stick the plate in the window and just have the rings on the front.

No, mine is a pre facelift (2007) but otherwise yes the same grill; I'm sure they're made in the same place mind!

Edit: my only concern with these non OEM grills would be strength in the face of say, a motorway speed stone, plate in the window might be asking for a punctured rad but that's just my opinion! For the price compared to OEM though I can't complain!

Im just concerned about the quality of the part. Have bought some dodgy gear in the past from places. I never thought about that tbh, would make the front alot more vulnerable

I had one a few years back, lasted about a year before it started chipping, the quality isn't brilliant but for the price cant really complain, lasted me 2 years tbh so it was worth the money

Fit these then plasti dip over it for protection

Decided to buy one of these grilles and fitted it over christmas. Pretty happy with it, as mentioned it isn't brilliant quality but I like the look. Im just abit worried now about the plate in the window. I see loads of cars with them in the window but I heard it is illegal, didn't want to fit the plate bracket. Heres what it looks like

Grill looks good
defo need the audi badges on there though, doesnt look that great without the audi badge.

And depends on which part of the uk you are in, i drove around without a rear plate for 2 days without a problem when mine fell off xmas eve lol

Get a smaller plate made and put that on, better than no plate lol

Yeah i was unsure whether to put the badge on or not. Kinda regret it now

Yeah audi badge is a must imo

seen a few around with the rs grill and no badge, doesnt look right

I'm sorry and usually I bite my lip in these situations but i'm close to banging my head off the wall here...

Aftermarket RS style grill then look no further than xenonzuk on ebay, however the Black 1 is the only half decent 1 they do..

For preface A3 again xenonzuk..

I would rather chop off my nuts than buy anything from BM-Town... Crap parts, cheap and nasty and to grace your Audi with these parts is scandaless...

Sorry for coming on a bit strong, but do some reaearch before buying poor quality gear!

I got mine from handocarsuplies on ebay. Only £125 and its alot better quality than other grills ive bought in the past tbf

That's good to hear, I was planning one as well and this one is cheaper than BM Town, even with the £10.00 surcharge for delivery to the Highlands.

I have to disagree; there is a tendency amongst audi owners to assume if something isn't god awful expensive, then it is just awful. Having bought and fitted one I am happy to say on this occasion it is good quality, strong and no problems at all fitting.
Xenonz is silly money for a still non OEM product - what's the point. Obviously OEM is the real route for these grills, but out of price point in many cases - xenonz are picking up the middle people who don't want to pay that high but will be mugged off for the same grade of product as many other cheaper options lol.

I agree with that part. Some aftermarket parts are perfectly adequate when working on a budget.
I would love to be able to spend OEM money on a RS3 grille, but, lets face it, that is the price of a decent set of coil overs or a remap and I know where I would spend the money.

I have a genuine RS3 grill on my own car... Its got nothing to do with cost..!!

Xenonz grilles as an aftermarket option would be my choice, simply because they have moulded badge holders like the oem grill... Not cheap and nasty looking clip on badges!

Its all about the overall look.. Even the xenonz doesnt have matching Honeycomb to the Gen RS grill.. Honeycomb is smaller and is more of them...

You put 3 of them in a row, you could see exactly where the quality is.. Doesnt matter how much you paid for them!

I fully respect that you want the genuine item on your car, that is understandable, I would like one on my car as well but, that means changing the bumper, bonnet and lights and that is beyond my budget, so cost does come in to it.
I think that the cheaper alternatives avilable fit a niche in the market. Nobody should expect OEM quality from these and as long as people are happy on that basis, then they are good enough.
I just want to get rid of the FK grille on my one. It's ok, but, it's not what I want and neither is the standard grille.

I went to audi today and I saw a new rs4 so I thought I would have a feel of the grill. Well I was shocked at the quality, I nearly snapped it just giving it a little push! My £125 grill feels alot stronger than the £700 odd audi one!
