Been given estimate week 6 or 7 build no conformation. Any idea when I will get it?
I dont like the dots you get with parking sensors thats why I havent picked them.

Better to have little dots than big dents though surely. Parking sensors aren't really that noticable and would help re-sale no?

Very nice. Very similar spec to my 3 door S3 that I picked up on the 19th. Mono pur is worth adding......seriously!

Monu pur just stitching? Im at my limit allready. Audi should have a car with all these things on. £230 is alot for small detail. Atleast the ss seats you notice them. People even say on here hill assist is a must there all gimics. Parking sensors on a small car? I know its not the easiest car to see out off but personally for my they ruin the look of the car im fussy.

Sports seats are awesome by the way. And yes, the hill assist was something I didnt originally add, but got it put on following advice on this forum.
 
I'd ditch the red painted callipers for the parking sensors, at least the sensors do something useful :rolleyes:
 
Its small compared to a4 a5 a6 rest of audis only a1 is smaller? Plus im 6ft 3 17 stones so its small car to me.
 
Im not the greatest driver but even im confident enough I dont need them. Plus I hate the way they ruin the clean lines of the car.
 
Think people will comment on red brake calipers but whos going 2 say I have nice mono pur? Looking at yotube I cant even tell the difference between car which have or dont.
 
Not as bad as the full park assist with them in the arches !! I've a Leon with them on and wouldn't be without them now so I guess it's what you're used to but I've also had an '09 A3 with rears only and that was fine.

I'm build week 6 and hoping for the first couple of weeks in March - think it's 3-4 wks from build as an estimate.

Having not had mono.pur on my last car and now having it on the current one I think it's worth it. Yes it looks like a minor detail but it does make a difference to the appearance and feel of the door handles in particular. I appreciate it's another couple of hundred quid but when you're spending that much already...

Another thing worth considering is the Connect option - if you're already forking the £1500 for the Tech Pack, it's worth considering the extra £300 (again didn't have this last time and do now).

Just my 2p - even without either of these it looks an awesome spec :)
 
I like a starter button. I like the fact I dont need to take keys out of my pocket. I park my car in the garage anyway. Even if someone tryed stealing they have a hard time very street wise. Plus thats what insurance is for.

People saying dont get gap from dealer because expensive? Surely there must be a fix for advanced key by now. 230 for mono pur and no1 will see it but you and your passengers if they ever notice it because I cant lol. Check this car im going to upload its porsche grey it looks sick its not even on the net I took pic last week northampton audi.

No you don't need to buy GAP from Audi, buy from an online company which is cheaper
Standard insurance won't cover you the full amount in the event your car gets nicked.
 
Ive had that before I got paid penuts for fully kitted out ctr

Some insurance companies do a vehicle replacement in the first year of the cars life. Audis own insurance does but can be expensive and i know esure do as thats who i'm with.
 
Looks a bit like the Seat Dynamic Grey you see some Cupras in.

Might have been mentioned already but did you check out the comfort pack thing it's rear sensors, rain sensors and cruise - might be better than speccing separately.
 
Looks like Nardo grey to me, there's an s3 SB at Harrogate in Nardo.

Also enjoy your car when it comes! You've specced it how you like it and that's all that matters...... However.... Having worked in used audi car sales before, parking sensors over calipers for residuals every time.

Only if writeoff? And the car they will give you want be the same will be bog standard s3
 
No, they do a like for like replacement including all options.

As you say though, only if written off.

It happened to me they cudnt get 1 like mine so they offered bog standard
 
I'd really recommend rear parking sensors, its very difficult to judge where the back of the car is, Sod the fact that you can see them if you look.
Red callipers would set the white off, add a little colour.

But nice choice I know you'll love it.
 
Thats a bit s**t. I've been told by both Audi insurance and Esure that they both place a new factory order if the car is less than 1 year old at the time its declared as a write off.
 
Insurance say alot of things. They look for any reason not 2 pay out

If I find it hard parking without sensors ill park forwards or ill open the door and park or ill stop and get out. My sister got a5 with parking sensors I sat there looking for hours yes or no. I reli do think they ruin the clean cut shape of the car. Survived without sensors on similar cars. Got my old man saying sensors are for puffs who dont know how to drive lol
 
When did you order? I ordered 5th dec. Ive got a old chap. Hes not to hip. He dont even inform me of anything. I have to chase him. The date they gave me is march 20th.

That's OK, your choice, but I've seen that many car parks fir low bollards that you cant see through the rear window. Just peace of mind. After market Audi ones are not the same size and not any where near so neat.
 
When I reverse I dont do it fast anyway so theres no damage
 
i got sensors and camera...........love it!!!
they hardly kill the lines of the car either

They look like youve reversed and got 4 dents. Why you need camera and sensors? If 1 wasnt enough. Might aswell tie on cusions
