Well christmas was good to me with a bonus etc, so i have some cash earlier than i thought to buy a new exhaust...but i have 2 ideas that i cant decide between. (please excuse the photoshopping - just quickly done to get the idea across)

This is my car as standard (well...it's @Whopper 's car (sorry for stealing) but mine is identical from the rear with the lights, colour and standard trim)

The first idea is to do a standard 2.0tfsi exhaust...getting the twin exit valance and custom made exhaust with 3.5" rolled tips. Was always planning on this as i think it looks awesome.

However i was talking with a mate of mine (after seeing a lovely mk4 golf in town) about doing an exhaust delete...so chopping the exhaust down (will still get a custom one made) and having a body shop make a custom rear valance. i did a quick photochop to see what it would look like and think it looks pretty decent.

The costs will be about the same (twin exhaust + valance painted/fitted = single exhaust + custom valance) so just what choice to make.

Would appreciate some input :D

Thanks

If your exhaust isn't blowing, think about investing your bonus in something that pays a nice dividend.Assuming you use lots of diesel and the price of this has come down quite a bit you could do worse than hedge against a oil price rise by buying some oil company shares that pay nice dividends, some of the big ones like Royal dutch shell,or Bp are paying nice dividends. dyor ,no guarantee. But I can assure you most metal cars depreciate even with twin exhausts you may not get back what you pay for..

with shell sitting at 2,281 and BP at 416...my bonus wouldn't stretch anywhere near even one share of shell. haha i'd rather spend my money on something i can physically have/see instead of tied up in shares that may or may not work out. I have high-risk ISAs which are working well for me, but ******** to investing haha

I have the s4 trim with rs4 tail pipes now, delete would be good, I know Danny's done it but it's the only one I know off!

Go for it ;)

Shell are £22.xx and bp are £4.xx so you may have miss read the price.Unless your bonus is less than £33 you should be able to buy one shell share plus £10 dealing.lmao .Maybe the exhaust will look nicer anyway, but the dividends are nice also.
