Good Day

I don't have faults in vcds, but my car takes 10l diesel. A6 C6 2tdi 2005 BLB. What is a problem? I heard it should take 8l. I drive already 2 years this car. Please help

Thanks in Advance and
Merry Christmas to All of You

What do you mean? Can you only put 10l into the tank or what? Be a bit clearer on your problem!

With 60l of diesel I will drive in a city 600km. So for 100km the car will eat 10l. But I heard that it should take around 8l per 100km. I Suspect injectors, but in vcds show that it's in spec. Let's say 1 injectors -0,59 2 injector +0.19. 3 injector -0.25. 4 injector +0.48. On IDILING when I check

10l/100km is 28mpg 8l/100km is 35 mpg. The A6 is quite a big car and fuel economy around town won't be that good compared to motorway driving, is it auto or manual ?.
What other mods have you on the car , large wheels and tyres can make a big difference to economy as can driving style.
What wheels and tyres do you have on the car ? Are the tyre pressures correct?
The injector balance figures look OK but there are many other things that can cause poor fuel economy, duff sensors, boost leaks, dragging brakes, low tyre pressures, poor serviceing.

Karl.

Has been remapped but in prestige company. so I doubt that related with remapping. Tyres are R16 dunlop. Tyres pressure are ok. Boost looks good and haven't seen any leaks. Servicing my self so its ok with service ( oil, filter, diesel filter) cleaned mass air flow sensor too. Where is this duff sensor? moor ideas? does somebody has 2 tdi and knows how much eats for them?

Thanks for help

It sound like a lot ,i drive a6 3.2 tiptronic quattro 18 inch wheels and it does take 11 liters of petrol....

What was the mpg before remap?
Not sure because I done it straight away. But It's strange that a few times I counted 8l / 100km not sure why. I was thinking maybe it's my mistake. It's happened 3-4 times

Well it will be hard to tell but i use to drive a6 manual 2 tdi company car and in London it was around 10 l in the traffic.Motorway and A roads 5-7 l of diesel. If are doing short trips 10 l sounds about right if you are cruising on the motorway it is far too much.MAF ,temperature sensor,air/fuel filter it worth to check

Maf in spec. Air/fuel du to February. So it's should be ok. Plus I have 2 years this car. Yes. In city takes 10l. but I don't have big traffic in my area.
