Can't help but notice the downward trend in the last week or so. Petrol is now 112.9 around my way which is unheard of for years.. Hope it stays this way for my s3 pick up and I can enjoy a few more extra tanks..

Just saw 111.9 at the Shell on the A206 in Erith.

It annoys me slightly because the A3 is so much more economical than my previous X5, which I owned when fuel prices were much higher. £115 to fill a tank stung a bit.

I've always driven my car when and how I want. Just gives me a few extra pennies in my pocket now.

Birmingham/Solihull area. The average is around 111.9 but there's one local place up the road at 107.9.

I remember my parents considering giving up the car when petrol hit £1 a gallon.

South Wales is £1.09. Loving it :)

107.9 in Swindon. 114.9 for Super :(

Musnt grumble - thats still super cheap :)

111.9p cheapest the MF's, always seems dearer here even though around 25% of UK petrol refined just along the South Bank of the Humber from me, must be the transportation costs!!! Would be enjoying lower prices more if I didnt have as many shares in oil companies

121.9 for vpower the other day. My savings are a bit offset by buying those little lego models though.

Make hay while the sun shines folks

Just watch how the price of petrol rises once the Russian economy has been brought to bear for the invasion of Ukraine/Crimea

The lowering of oil prices is killing the Russian economy apparently ...

Over half their income is from oil. Russia needs it to be $100 a barrel just to break even - it's under $60.

It annoys me how the price varies across even quite a small area. We have 114.9 here. Much cheaper not too far away where there are supermarkets selling petrol. I think it is a rip off when the same petrol companies charge different prices a few miles apart - probably the same delivery lorry.

It's still great to have the cheaper petrol, but slightly worrying what effect it will have on our economy and the world economy in the long run though.

And I bet some of our S3 owners up in Aberdeen aren't quite so happy.

You might be loving it, but just remember that fuel prices were well under £1 a litre five/six years ago and most of us have not seen our wages rise since then. Perceptions are a funny thing.......

Doesn't the S3 require RON98? I have let that go that low yet.

I passed my test at 17 and remember it being 39p a litre :( £5 in a Mini lasted all week lol

Happy days i must go fill up the S4 and the 3.2 petrol burners.

I paid £0.98 per litre lasnight at my local Tesco!! It was £1.06 ....but I had an 8p fuel saving .....!!!

£0.50 per liter on this side of the pond, allowing for currency exchange. Jealous?

there was me thinking half their income was from alcohol and the resident 98% of the populations alcoholics...... or do I stereo type looool

'.....and god ppl putting tesco fuel in their Audis ..Cringe' Any particular reason since along with BP Ultimate and Shell Optimax, Tesco 99 has the highest octane rating of any of the easily obtainable fuels in the UK?

Funny how you can go off people so quickly ...

To quote Archie Leach in A Fish Called Wanda, while Otto is holding him out a window suspended by his ankles, "I apologise unreservedly. I offer a complete and utter retraction. The imputation was totally without basis in fact, and was motivated purely by malice, and I deeply regret any distress that my comments may have caused you, or your family, etc..."

Mine runs almost exclusively on Tesco Momentum and seems fine for it.

Nothing wrong with Tesco Momentum 99.

There's an argument that says Tesco Momentum 99 is better than Shell V-Power for turbocharged cars, as Tesco Momentum 99 has the higher MON rating.

Here's the independently conducted comparative report for Tesco Momentum 99, carried out by Millbrook Labs.

Interesting reading V8 :thumbs up:

The wife's MINI JCW always seems to run slightly better on Tesco momentum TBH. Certainly is more 'vocal' on it! lol

Tesco Momentum all the way for me!!! Will mean I can still save me clubcard points for my Merlin Annual Pass :rockwoot:
