This is my 1.8 TFSI Audi A3 Black Edition, Never really done a build thread but thought id give it a go!

So this is the car as standard when I bought it in June 2014…

Standard Bella

So the first step I took was changing the Grill from the standard black edition grill to the S3 Black edition Grill. Managed to find a brand new Genuine S3 grill on ebay for £250.

Which I set to fitting as my girlfriend went to get 'quickly changed' (a hour later) she arrived back outside to this…

Oh I almost forgot to mention, I am going for a Storm Trooper look with my car with the black and white.

Here he is giving me the eyes ;)

So after changing the Grill to the S3 one, I decided my next step was to Paint the Brake Calipers and Wheels on the car. I decided to go for Gloss Black with the wheels and Red With the callipers. Here are some pictures of me prepping the wheels before I sprayed them and some pictures when they were sat drying after spraying..

Then the Brake callipers went Red…

After this I wanted to add more black to the car to match the wheels and Grill, so i decided to get my roof wrapped Gloss Black. I got this done at Jess Wright Graphics in Bingley. This cost me £100 so got an ok deal.

I even treated myself to a personalised touch, however only some people will understand its my actual last name :lmfao:

And then came the fun part, I took Bella to a company in Bradford called Custom Tuning for Stage 1

My car was running 160 Standard when I came here, We went ahead with the remap and i left here with around 210bhp. This cost me £230. A couple of months later, I went to a different company called FR Tuning in Bradford for Stage 2 and had my car put on the rolling road. As we ran my car, we could clearly see by the power curve that there was something wrong. :concern:

Remap by Custom Tuning below..

As we dug deeper, we found out that my car was still requesting standard boost pressure and that the previous company (custom tuning) had only tampered with the timing.. :banghead:

We then reverted the car back to standard…

As you can see, I got lucky from factory as Standard they are 160bhp. and mine made 174bhp :rockwoot:

We then spent a couple of hours tampering with her, but had to call it a day due to having a faulty lambda sensor.. :chargrined:

IMG 20141225 WA0036

In the end we made 223bhp as we started to run lean if we pushed it any further. You can see the drop in the middle on the graph as the car isn't giving the fuel requested. Therefore its back to the bank for a new lambda. :sadlike: Then we will see what we can get.

This is where we are at so far, Updates as and when they come, Thanks for reading :undwech:

Nice work!

Front grill really transforms the the car

I prefer the black edition wheel colour over gloss black but with the roof the gloss black wheels prob look better :p

Love the sticker down the windscreen :D

Some wind deflectors and s3 style brushed chrome mirros would look class!

looking good nice little touches make a big difference, looks like i will have to get my roof done in white :kissmyrings:

That engine is known to make more than 160 standard

Beautiful car, same colour as mine and welcome to the gang. Get your wallet ready lol

thank you for your comments :) i just got some wind deflectors on ill get some pictures up soon :) but trying to get my hands on some brushed wind mirrors haha

Nice work, the black wheels do suit the white car and along with the other additions, it's a smart looking motor.
:)

Just out of curiosity what sort of mpg did you used to get before the remap

Before the map I was getting around:

47-50mpg on motorway
38-40mpg around town

And after there wasn't really a change until there's a 1.2 sxi sat on your back bumper haha ;)

I have the same car but in a 138 bhp tdi dsg and I get around 35mpg on the streets and around 50on mway so seems like your doing very well

I no I was suprised with the mpg that I got but let's not jinx it now haha

Here's a picture with the wind deflectors on :) don't mind my boss/personal account manager in the corner

And I no the cars filthy before anyone starts :)

96k on it haha but full audi service history :) so I'm not all that fist

BD tuners :sos:

That first company got loads different names all @ same address. They killed my mates VXR.

Not bad :) I don't mind the miles as I worked next to the dealerships that did all the servicing so it's all genuine haha

And ohh I see well I'm glad I escaped them haha
