hose came loose

was driving this morn when car started losing power esp flashed up yellow pulled in to layby expecting to phone my breakdown looked under bonnet top hose had worked loose from alloy pipe lucky had tools in boot put back on esp light went out car seems fine anyone else had this happen
 
The turbo to charge pipe hose? Red one? I've heard of that one going before.

Or the other end, intercooler end?
 
Red one turbo end is prone to failure... if its come off once chances are it will again... most people fit a Forge one to replace it as its cheaper than buying one from Audi

its not at turbo end its the large hose connected to the intercooler pipe was wondering how it came loose pushed back on with jubilee clip would the hose be knackered
 
Righty... 6 posts in and we are there lol... anyhoo... no, its not a pipe that typically comes off... did you re-use the clip or get a new one? if the hose has been off for any reason then its plausible that it was over tightened and the clip got damaged... OE clips are ok but if you get the click of death then they are useless and must be changed...

thanks for that will change the clip otherwise its a great car 64000 genuine miles norgoro blue and std think next year time to change exhaust and remap amd are doing remap and exhaust for 737pounds is that a good deal
 
Couldn't possibly comment on value... as long as its a decent custom map they are doing... I assume its a stage 1 based on a limited spec?
