Hi guys I'm new to this forum so still finding my way around, I have been on the ukmkivs for a bit as my last car was a golf v6 4mo r32 rep
Here's a link to my old build thread for the golf
http://uk-mkivs.net/topic/99216-scs-r32-bumper-grills-painted-gloss-black/

Sold my golf in October and have been flitting around on what to replace it with, I was looking at the mk5 gti as I fancied a turbo as it was pointless trying to tune the v6 engine with out spending £10k on turbo conversion lol

After looking at a few golfs and doing some research into achievable power gains of upto 385bhp I decided I wanted to go with 4 wheel drive so I could keep it on the road lol.
I Discovered vw did a 4motion 2.0 non turbo and thought about this as a good starting point, then I discovered that audi did a 2.0tfsi quattro and immediately started looking for the perfect base car to begin with and ended up buying this nice red manual model with the black leather/alcantara option

First job is a good clean as I got her home from up north late last night, I have got her booked in at Vw next week for a health check and service (not due for 5k but for my piece of mind) a friend is the head tech @vw and he did all the work on my golf so know I'm in good hands there.

So far I've done a bit of research and am pretty sure I know what I want to do with her, I want to go stage 3 and do some subtle external mods, the missis wants to S3 the exterior and whilst it's nice it seams everyone goes this way, so I'm thinking if like to smooth the bumpers and the doors for the clean look along with side skirts and some new rims?

Shall I go 18" I like the ride on the standard 17s and when I put the 18s on the golf it did kill the ride a bit so defo not going 19" lol

Really like these range rover alloys and am in negation a for a set in need of referb, think there gonna be heavy but at least they will be strong as with the roads in the uk I had nightmares on the 18" r32 alloys on my golf

I'm gonna get the bucket and sponge out and I'll upload a few pics once she's clean & sparkling

I've found a local company on eBay who can custom make a stainless exhaust from the turbo back for a reasonable price as opposed to going for the popular milltec option.

First mod is planned for tomorrow :) I've just worked out how to get the interior door trims off and there similar to the net optic in the golfs so I'm gonna give it the brushed aluminium treatment :)
It will hopefully tidy it up a bit as there's a fair bit of wear on the drivers trim, the last owner must of had a big watch lol

Got a compressor at work so thinking of buying a spray gun and having a go at the engine cover

Thanks mate she has defiantly benifitted from a wax
Mer mate not too expensive and gives a glass like finish,
I t cut her first them demon shined then polished.
Simple work really

It's been a week or so since my last update and it's been an expensive time with me needing a new hpfp and two new sensors related to the fuel pump along with a diverter valve and pcv vale, plus a service all in all costing me around £600 lol so no expensive mods for the time being.
Having said that I decided to do a cost effective mod I planned to do before the fuel pump went.
So I removed my trim today from the door cards and gear stick surround I had the net optic. I bought a mixed pack of sand paper from wickes with coarse medium and fine.

I would say you could achieve a better finish the longer you work on it I spent around 3 hours in total to get a nice clean smooth finish

I re fitted the trims in the dark so I didn't take any pictures but will put some up soon.
Looks 10times better imo.

IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO GET THE ASHTRAY COVER OFF PLEASE ADVISE

Looks a real nice example there.. We built an A3 Quattro 2.0tfsi with K04 turbo also.. Thats the best thing about these engines all the tuning parts are litterially bolt on :)

Intake
TB Milltek
Intercooler
Fuel Pump
K04 Turbo
Revo Software

350bhp with no need to change the internals..

We sold the A3 around 5 months ago but got bored and purchased a Golf GTI mk5 2.0tfsi with a K04..

That's interesting did it need an uprated clutch?
And PM me some price for the turbo and tune, as will do tb exhaust, intake fmic, hpfp pump myself please?
Also where are you based

I think some tt vents would updat the interior and finish it off nicely
