Well car has been detailed today and all ready to collect tomorrow!!

Bright and early! Haven't seen it in person yet but according to my brother who has it looks amazing!

I will upload some pics when I can :)

Very nice Jonny, great colour too :)

But as Steeve has always said, it's hard too keep clean, and he wasn't joking either! I know, as every day my car looks so dirty straight away, but hopefully now with a coat of Modesta, it wouldn't take much to wash.

Thanks everyone for the kind words! I absolutely love it!! It's already manky now! Need to give it a quick clean!

I do however have a few questions which is the b&o doesn't light up in the back? Is this right? And also the needle sweep only works when it wants to? Not sure this is right either. Anyone have the answers?
 
I'll check my B&O today. 'Needle Sweep'?

One thing that was interesting was that I got a Stop/Start error when I drove out f the dealership. Only 2 miles on the clock and the head engineer explained to me that these can take 100 miles to calibrate. Mine sorted itself out within 20 miles, but never heard about this before.

The needle sweep is when you turn on the car and the needles do a full sweep of the speedometer.

Mines only done it a few time and sometimes it doesn't which I find strange. I think it's supposed to do it all the time.
 
Nightmare, would have looked really good in the back as well. Strange how they don't do this like
 
I'm sure the needle sweep only happens when the key is inserted and ignition is switched on. If you switch the ignition off and leave the key in but then turn it back on it won't do the needle sweep

It's amazing mate. Lovely to drive, fast when you want it to be! And the noise.... Well my doubts are totally gone. It's a great engine note I think and the blips are great fun.
 
When you say Stop/Start error, do you mean it actually reported an error message or it just failed to activate and you got the icon with a line through it?

If the latter then this is normal - just means it wasn't activated for some reason, usually the engine not yet warm enough.

So nice! I'm falling in love with the Saloon or SEDAN as I keep seeing on this forum. Wish I didn't need a boot! Enjoy your new car, you're not too far from me!

Yes, I say it's what you pointed out Vertigo, and the the Stop/Start did not activate due to a number of reasons, ie battery isn't fully charged, you have air-con on.

Is that a new private reg or one transferred over from your old car? Thinking about getting one for the new car and if so will Audi deal with the paperwork once I get it from DVLA or do I need to do it myself???

Just can't make my mind up on which one: S for Steve and AVO is my nickname (Abbreviation of surname)...just can't decide on the number lol...not sure if the 31 links to the car too much?!?!

transfered from old mate. had it for years. I'm from Newcastle so its meant to say either we aye or wel aye lol the dealer can do it for you as when you buy it, it will come with a transfer fee which you give to the dealer to sort.

I like them both mate. your choice but think either would be good! I think the 31 is good tho as it does look like its S3!
 
That is lovely mate!! If I ever replace my 3dr then this is what will be in it's place. :)
