How many airbags...

So I was wondering, since I bought my A3 as an used car, how many airbags should it have? It's Ambition package 2.0BKD, that's all I know.

Is there a stamp somewhere in the car so I can check it out perhaps?

Depending on the age of your car there should be six, drivers, passenger 2x side air bags (side of the seats) and 2x curtain airbags. they all should be clearly marked.

That helped, thank you very much! Wanted to know because my friend owns a 2006 Sportback and claims he has 14, which I find unrealistic so I wanted to know how many do I have.

LOL, what's the world coming to when you need to brag about the number of airbags! When I was a lad it was 0-60!

BTW, no way he has 14 airbags unless he has more than one car (or a back seat full of gossiping women!)

I thought it was :- dashboard, steering wheel, windscreen pillars,front seats , B-pillars and 4 round the roof?

Don't know about the back seats.

And don't 8Vs have knee ones too?

Weird thing is that my B pillars seem to have them as well, so it is 8 by far as I have noticed. No idea about the roof ones, never heard of those.

Above the side windows, they come down like curtains if you're hit in the side.

I know; been there, done that!
