A4 b6 3.0l cabriolet auto gearbox issues

Hi can anyone help my a4 b6 3.05 cabriolet auto has some gearbox issues when warm and moving off slow the revs sometimes drop to almost stalling then bangs into first gear, also at time the car changes from drive to first gear by itself, and occasionally whilst doing this you ease on the brake and it changes gear back to drive, your help would be appreciated.

Change the transmission fluid. Use VAG ATF only though.

I was gonna say the gearbox oil as well

Might be worth doing a flush, these multitronics hold more than what drains out.
I had to change mine a week after doing it the first time, it still looked dark and had a burnt smell.
Then hope that's that. Seems the transmission ecu can be a bit bothersome.

Looks like I spoke to soon! Judder is back and limp mode. I think there is a pattern to the box troubles on my audi, it plays up for a while then clears itself and drives fine for while. Gonna take the ecu out and send off to have it tested and hopefully sorted. Any joy with your car?
