Hi, I recently changed my '98 2.8 quattro Avant for a '03 (53 reg) 3.0 quattro Avant. The new car currently unlocks all four doors and the tailgate and flashes the indicators (no beep of the horn) with one press of the remote button and locks everything, again with a flash of the indicators but no horn beep with one press of the remote. I would like to recode it so it unlocks the drivers door with one press then everything else with a second press and a flash of the indicators, and locks everything with one press, a flash of the indicators and a beep of the horn. This is what the '98 car did. Does anybody know the correct coding for this or have any helpful information to this end? Thanks in advance.

Central Locking Module 35

Then select the Recode button 07

Important - Write down the numbers before you start as it it goes pete tong you will need them. Also suggest you leave a window open when messing with door locks just in case. Security bites both ways.

For anti hijack (doors lock over 20kph) record the number in the first box and then add 32
Mine was 06859 + 32 = 06891

For the alarm bleep on locking use the same code but add 1024.
So mine was now 06891 + 1024 = 07915

Many thanks Typhoon GB, that's very helpful - and an especially useful tip about leaving the window open. I have since found an article on this but I was a little concerned that things may have changed since it was written in 2000. Reassuringly, it ties in with what you are saying.

Yep, now got exactly what I wanted. +1024 for the alarm beep & +4 for the 'security central locking'. Simples!
