What is this?

Hi Chaps,

Just routing around the engine bay with the engine running and I could hear this horrible 'tick tick tick' sound. Narrowed it down to a component near the airbox;

Can anyone tell me what it is?

Purge valve, mine does the same, so hopefully that's normal !

Its the tank vent valve, and yes it makes ticking noise when the engines running.

Another 'what's this'

What is that little pipe in the ribbed conduit? It's just floating around not attached? It's located near the battery.

yeh some batteries have a wee connection which attaches to it.
