A4 B6 Headlights not working (that old chestnut)

Been a member for a while but this is my first cry for help

2001 A4 B6 avant everything but the dipped headlights working, checked the bulbs which are fine. Check the connectors while i was in there and neither have any power to them. Changed the light switch on the dash to a known working one and they came on but when switched them back still not working but now they dont work with either switch. Changed the central control module for one with the same part number but still no headlights

Please help its driving me crazy
 
Yes fuses are good, power on both sides of the fuse
 
xenon or halogen ?
 
do the back lights work ?
front fog lights ?
when you changed the ccm was it the one under the dash or under the front pass seat ?
do the turn signals work ? and the hazards ?
 
There must be a relay somewhere, can you hear a click when switching from dipped headlamps to main beam
