Strange omission I think......

I have the interior lighting pack and it does make the interior classy and well lit at night. Gentle light in footwells, handles etc etc.
But there's one piece of lighting missing. They should put a ring of light round the ignition key slot. That would be really good. Of course I'm getting used to it now, but would still appreciate a little guidance!!
I've had cars years ago with a ring of light - was really surprised the first time I started my Audi at night.

Push button starts gets illumination but never the key.

Also such a shame the 8V missed out on a fancy key.

Yes, even a Rover Metro used to have an illuminated ignition key barrel!

My brother has the (insert name of car here) and his key is just the same as mine except has a vw on the back rather than an audi badge.

Maybe the keyless entry key has something fancy on it?

He should take his key fob back to his dealer, and ask for the "R" insert!

The earlier R's shipped without this insert, but became available with later builds.

Us S3's owners were promised a unique "S" key fob in the brochure, but that never materialised

And if you buy an AMG, you'll get an AMG key fob, that comes in it's own special box!

Surely that's gotta trump mono.pur, after all, you can't just casually whip it out at the meeting room or pub table

Yes mate the buttons are on the other side. Still feels special every time I take the key out of my pocket and see that badge!
You'll be pleased to hear I'm back in the Audi fold, just got the wife a Q5 S Line Plus, it's absolutely mint.

No, the other side is engraved with the name of the man who built each individual AMG keyfob
