Yo guys, just had my car checked over due to hearing a knocking noise coming from the front end which seemed to me like it was either drop links or top mount issues.
Apparently my new exhaust is loose and they also noticed that my front wishbone bolts were the wrong size?
Any idea why I have the wrong size bolts in? There nearly flush with the hole but audi told me that I should have a fair bit of thread out the other side and that these are not the correct bolts?
I dont see any reason tho for this to be causing the knocking but I'm no mechanic....

Any idea when I can sauce these bolts please? And are they easy to fit? Any links if possible.

Kind regards

Simon

Yeah the front wishbone bush should be longer and stick through about 10mm
Usually what happens is people drop the subframe to fit a clutch etc and mix the bolts up.
They're normally mixed up with the rear console bolt.
You'd need to get them from the dealer if you can't find them in the wrong place.

Just had a quick check and this is what I come up with

N 10141003 hexagon head bolt (combi) M12X1,5X110 x2

So where do I get these from? I've just had a new clutch fitted so that's probably what's happened. Will the 2 longers ones cause an issue if they have been put in somewhere else then?
Audi wanted 114 quid to fit these two new bolts.......... I mean wtf?

It'll either need to be a TPS or Audi parts department
Can't see them causing a problem elsewhere as it's just in to the chassis.
