Currently working up a configuration for a new A3 Saloon, it seems with the Adaptive Cruise Control you get

"Front Assist incl. city automatic emergency braking for ACC low"

but if you go for the Driver assistance Package that changes to

"Front Assist incl. city automatic emergency braking for ACC high"

Does anyone know what the difference is between high and low?

Ok, had suspected it'd be something fairly inconsequential, when I asked the same at a nearby dealership, I got the following response.

The "Front Assist incl. city automatic emergency braking for ACC high" as featured with the driver assistance package includes the Audi side and lane assist which allows the vehicle to have pre-sense plus. This feature will allow the vehicle to sense vehicles from both the front and the rear of the vehicle.

I found the ACC high is still listed in the '.co.uk' configurator, you should see it listed if you look for the extra info on the Driver assistance package.

100mph is the max for mine and I have the lower speed (no driver assist pack... but have all the components!)

Though why anyone would want to set it even that high is beyond me.

Mine only allows up to 100mph, which when travelling across germay is actually quite a pain, as its not that id want to use the ACC function specifically over there at 100+ but it won't even give you basic cruise control. 160kph is normal to slow over there, 110 - 120mph more is the cruising speed.

Earlier A3's had 2 levels of ACC, low and high.

Low went up to 100 mph
High went up to 124 mph but was only available if you spec'd DA pack.

Now only ACC Low is available.

I suspect the configurator hasn't been updated, it's been removed from the later brochures.

Ah. I thought high went up to 100. I don't have ACC high then lol
