I think the front LED'S are a slightly different shapeit doesnt look any different to the outgoing A6
Not sure about that, the colouring might be VERY slightly different compared to the 2011-2014 LED headlights, but hey look really similar to mine:

Anyone know the dates when orders and manufacturing would have switched to the facelift model?
I ordered an A6 Avant 313 Bi TDi Black Edition in June, and it's being delivered to me this Friday. The order form says 313 so I expect that it will be the pre-facelift model, but it must be one of the very last.
Anyone know if anything which was standard on the pre-facelift and is now a cost option on the facelift model?
The facelift has at least three features I would have gone for. (1) Misano Red paint; (2) Grey leather; and (3) Heated rear seats (cheaper) had they all been available when I ordered.

Yours will definitely not be facelift. Not sure facelift production has actually started yet or if has then it is only just begun

The car arrived today, and no, it's not a facelift. It's a handsome looking thing though.
I had a short drive, dropping the driver back at the station, but we're going out in it this evening on quite a long drive with a mix of motorways and fast A-roads, so I should get a good feel for it.

My wife had an A6 recently when her Q5's turbo failed, was a lovely car. Was seriously considering an S6 but notice this has disappeared from the Configurator... any idea if that's a temporary thing? Or maybe a dealer is looking to shift some old facelift stock cheap... I can but wish. 
Is this a facelift rather than a new platform? Pardon my ignorance, but I only become interested in the A6 when the wife had one.

It's a facelift, the bodywork, chassis and engines will be the same.

It's a ridiculously long model name: Audi A6 Avant 3.0 Bi TDi S-line Black Editoon [313] Quattro or similar!
It's relatively well specced but surprised that heated and electric seats were an option. Other than that it's completely standard.
I've had the car it's replacing for 9 years so it's a tough act to follow, but I'm liking the A6 more and more as time passes, albeit I've had it less than 24 hours!

Dave greetings newbie here, I have a face lifted MY2015 black edition ordered and just had my dealer off the phone to say it's on the ship and has left Emden.
Don't think anyone has had delivery yet. From what I understand first delivery is end of next week.
If I hear more ill let you know but mines is on its way and I can't wait to get my hands on it.
Will miss my faithful current C7 A6. But the bi turbo black edition was too tempting!

In mythos black it's going to look mean.
It's the 3.0tdi Tiptronic box 320ps monster.
My current C7 S - line 61 plate is Ibis White is a 2.0 tdi manual box.
Turned my back on BMW and so glad I did. Left an E60 535d m sport for the S-Line drop in power was too much so back to a beast but this time with quattro so will feel much more planted ☺
Couldn't have went any further to the other end of the scale ha!

I had an E61 535d a few cars back, stunning car especially as I had a DMS remap on it. So keen to hear you thoughts on the Bi-TDi. The Ultras not due to be changed for 18 months but I'm already wishing I pushed for a 313.

You had news on where yours is Sir? Audi have said mines will land in Southampton and be transported up to a not so sunny Glasgow by road.
Just found out, the car was shipped from Emden yesterday and is expected to dock at Grimsby this weekend. So it should be at the dealership late next week!

Ah result, mines be on the same ship then rather than Southampton, makes more sense into Immingham, damn we have an office there I could go and pick it up at my company's expense!

Yeah I have tried to explain that to my dad, he looked at me like I was mad, his exact words were "you have paid X amount of pounds for a car with fancy indicators" He loves driving my current C7 so god only knows what he will like when he sees this monster arrive. Can't wait it feels like Christmas eve.

Glasgow Audi have just been on the phone. Confirmed the car is now in Immingham awaiting unloading. The grin you have is no doubt the same as mine. My man flu now has vanished. Expect delivery this week good Sir.
Fantastic. I'm expecting an update tomorrow when the sales guy gets back in. Apparently he has just been given a new A6 and loves it.
