Hi,

Well I decided to go ahead and purchase my partner a new car as a surprise. After viewing many, and even having a change of mind on one I picked her a 2013 S3 sportsback black edition DSG in estoril blue with full black Nappa leather.

The car is immaculate and was from a Audi main dealer with full history, well one service as the mileage is so low! 12.000 miles.

Anyway to cut a long story short she is saying she does not want any form of performace car, and that I must either return or sell it.

I'm going to call the dealer today and see what they say, if not what would be a fair price for the car. I paid £23.500 on Thursday and I have all the documents to back the car up from Audi.
I can see someone ending up with a bargain!!!

If anyone is interested drop me a PM for more details.

I forgot to mention the car is covered under Audi warranty for another 13 months.

Get some more pics up and more info on the spec.
Car looks superb in Estoril but your add is really light on detail and the 2 pics are not the best.
Show off the interior and shout about any options.

Sold my 12plate last year for about £21k ish, same car as yours in IBIS white and it ended going to a trader in the Midlands.
Got £1000 more I would have in p/x but had to put up with a lot of nob heads and time wasters in the process unfortunately.

These were the guys that bought mine.

They were really professional and east to deal with.

Good luck

Why don't you suggest she drives it while you're trying to sort out the best way of selling or returning it and see if she starts to enjoy it and maybe changes her mind?

Oh no what a bummer.

Hopefully the garage will have some sympathy. You might be in a better bargaining position if you take your partner with you and try and swop it for another Audi (that she likes!).

Hmmmm you supprise the misses with a new car and shes tells you she doesnt want it and to take it back??

Theres 4 things here that spring to mind here...

1. Shes totally inconsiderate and dam right rude to turn down such a supprise?
2. Wtf were you thinking paying 23k for a car that you didnt even know if the misses would like it?
3. This is a total wind up and something smells very fishy...
4. Your filthy rich and dont really give a monkies if you loose out on money selling her again?

Good god you get her a beautiful machine like the S3 and she won't accept it ?

I know what I'd be getting rid of.

Pull the badges off it and tell her it's an S-Line.

Audi offer a 30 day money back guarantee don't they, just take it back explain the situation and get her to pick something else of the same value?

They are prepared to change it for something else, the problem is they do not have anything to exchange it for as I need something for her with the DSG box.

I have been getting offer £22.000 on a PX for a golf which seems ok ish.

I just really want to sell the car and she can take the tube!

Anyone that has a spare £21.000 can have the car tomorrow!!!

I thought that my Mrs was a princess, but this is just... wow!

This has to be a windup surely? You spent 23k on a surprise? You need your head seeing to mate. And a new GF at that.

This might add no value to the point of the thread but this is the first time I`ve seen one of these in this colour and reckon it looks the ********.
Makes me want one again actually.

Well finally found a car the misses liked and agreed on a PX.

She has gone for a 2.0 TDI black edition sports back, the car is 12 months older and slightly higher mileage, however it's in good condition as its considerably less in price so the Audi dealer is refunding the difference.

All in all I am pleased as she is now happy. The new car has the same wheels as the s3 and apart from the obvious, engine, mirrors etc does not look that different. The specification is very simular minus the sat nav which I found a compete waste of time in London.

It means I can get along driving my carrera without having her bugging me about having no car!
