Can I stream via Bluetooth

I am picking up my new pride and joy next Friday. 2011 S3 as in the pictures in my other post. It has the DVD based Sat Nav and Bluetooth phone connection.

Is it possible to stream Spotify etc from my Android phone through the speakers of the car? I'm sure I'll have plenty more questions once I pick it up and drive it for a few days.

I'm not into OEM stereos, but pretty sure that you can't stream music via BT phone prep. You'll need an additional module for that, I think... You will only know if you have it if you ask the seller.

If you have AMI in your S3 you can get Tune2Air dongle from amazon, they are quite expensive at ~£50.

These dongles work with iphones and streaming the in built music player but unsure about Android and Spotify, sorry.

I can confirm this works fine with an android phone. Basically with the iPhone you get the song displayed on the nav and cluster but if you use the skip track buttons on the head unit or steering wheel it skips to iTunes (I only use spotify for music so don't know how it functions with iTunes) with an android phone it doesn't list the track name but the buttons do allow you to skip tracks. I'd say skipping tracks proves more useful when driving than seeing the track name. Sound quality is perfect too

I use it with android and it allows you to scroll and skip songs in the play list, but doesn't display track info. Sound quality is great, and your phone can still be connected to the in car BT for calls.

Sorry just seen this thread. I can stream via BT to my rnse via my xcarlink with BT module. Its also has iPod connection and 3.5mm Jack input. Anytjing will play via speakers... films sound impressive through the Bose!!

Thanks for that Audi3. Can you tell me exactly what you have for streaming from your phone. As I posted earlier I have a HTC One M8 and I'm pretty new to the Audi scene.
