You need a trip to my regular watering hole down at AMDTuning in Lakeside!

They've helped me turn mine from stock to something else.....

Meant to ask...looking at your nick, did you have an RS500?

Yea mate, I got a Sierra rs500, r32 gtr and a escort cosworth cabriolet
Thanks

Good man.

I used to have a Sapphire Cosworth with around 450bhp and an ex GpN Escort Cosworth.

Welcome Marc

Sprint blue such a lovely colour......

Get that camera going.

GHR built the engines on both my cars, and the Escort was probably the fastest point-to-point thing I've ever had,if a bit thirsty at 8mpg.

Very nice mate, my dads got a ex ford saloon group a escort cossie, can't beat a bit of old skool, was toying with an idea of putting the running gear from the gtr into a mk1 escort :-/

You two are clearly Ford nuts as well as car nuts!

I've got a mate on another forum who's busy putting a SUpra engine in his A4.....that was after he'd got tired of trying to get even more power from the 1.8

Seriously though, this place will get you some more power for your car,and lead you down the road to ruin.

Yea mate defo car nuts, think I'm a ford man at heart, won't be long I suppose till the s3 is got at. Don't wanna go too mad, what would you suggest? If I said I wanna see about 380-400?

You won't see more than 360-380bhp on the stock turbo, and it's pretty well maxed out by then.

That said,it's a pretty quick car by that level, and reliable, without it being too expensive to get there.
You'd be looking at the following:

Uprated HPFP
RS4 fuel prssure regulator
Turbo back exhaust
Cold air intake system
Uprated clutch
Remap

That lot would come to around £3.5-4k new,and cheaper if the parts are bought used.

You'd also need to factor in brakes and suspension as they get a bit marginal on an S3 raised to that sort of power.

If you want to get into the 400+bhp bracket, you'd need either a hybrid turbo such as the TTE which would get you to around 420-440bhp,or a proper kit from APR,CTS or similar which would get you further.

Either way, above 420-440bhp,you would need RS4 injectors, and another map,and above that,an uprated LP fuel system as well.

If you can bear it,have a trawl through my build thread.

Get yourself signed up on Photobucket like Sir Alex said. Then upload your pics, after that you can select a picture and copy direct link. Then upload that link from here. Should work as I figured it out yesterday.
