Hi,
I purchased a set of wheels off ebay, off a member called audirspartsonline.
They was about 50 miles away from me in Blackburn so I decided to go and collect them and pay cash.
Had a quick look at the wheels and they looked fine, was refurbing them anyway so loaded them into the car, payed the guys there and went on my way.
Anyway after fitting them I noticed they have an offset of 42 and not 32 as they stated. So rang them back up to be told to ring the next day to talk to the boss, called next day and got told to call again as boss had gone home. I ended up speaking to someone half usefull who suggested they have some 10mm spacers, I agreed that was fine as long as they are hubcentric but they will then need to provide me with longer wheel bolts and locking nuts so i said it might be cheaper to just refund me, the bloke agreed but told me to ring up again.
I called again today with no answer so I emailed them saying I would just like a refund and as it was their mistake asked for them to be picked up, for them to reply "we are not a collection service"
I will be ringing tomorrow to demand to speak to the boss but where do I stand with this if they just fob me off and tell me to come up for a refund? I don't want to be spending another £15 in petrol and 2 hours of my very busy schedule.
Is it worth getting trading standards involved?
