Sorry if it's been asked before I can't find any info on the 1.8t agu mpg anywhere just wondering I've fitted a k03s unmapped ATM and mpg is averaging at 18mpg not sure if this is normal or if there is a boost leak that's the only reason I asked I don't care how much fuel goes in... Thanks for any help Ben

Tank is meant to be 55L which is like 12 gallons.

If i drive like a Granny occassionally I have got 400 miles to a tank, 33mpg.
Usual driving gets like 250 miles, 21mpg.

Lol, anyway you look at its not a fuel efficient car......

****** hell I must drive like a right Grandad!! Mine is an AUM but my average is hovering around 41mpg since I bought the car about 6 months ago. Think I need to learn how to press the loud pedal a bit harder...

Haha he's would seem you need to drive faster lol mine may be 21 now I've re calculated just making sure its normal now back out to get those mpg down more :racer:

To be fair, mine probably has boost-leaks etc, as I doubt anything's been replaced since it came out the factory 16 years ago...

No way was that when you had it mapped at 245?

Yep.

Our engines are smart enough to only chuck a **** ton of fuel in when your foot is on the throttle.

Broadly speaking, if you're only using 150BHP you're still going to get 150bhp fuel economy.

Low 20's = something wrong. My S3 will still give me 30 if I want it to, and that's calculated not just looking at the DIS.

Mine is 16 years old and has accumulated 202,000 miles so far on it's journey to the moon. Still averaging 29mpg with the occasional blast.

I better start looking then lol It does smell really rich ever since I fitted the k03s I thought it may just need mapping as its trying to get abit extra fuel but it is strong so I may go and get it checked over abit sooner than I thought roll on remap, there are no boost leaks though so that's a bonus

Christ, I did nearly 16k miles and averaged 37.7mpg over that whole period. And I didn't drive like a girl the whole time.
