Hi guys,

right the time has almost come for me to start my build thread as my car is being picked up after 4 months away being fixed. I have tried to search this but am unable to source the right information.

I have a list of modifications 1 is the badger 5 2.2 TIP. I have looked on his website and seen in the kit you can choose between blue jr filter and red bmc filter. Is there a preference between the 2? or have people used a complete different one?

I spoke to revo who will be doing my remap, and mentioned the using the s2000 flter with the badger kit, which they quickly went against.

Look forward to hearing abck from anyone with feedback

cheers guys

lmao @ revo comments
heard it several times

Irrelevant of course what they say

1000's of customers say what the benefits are... listen to them, or better still get a custom map to suit your mods

4months? What an earth was wrong with it? I went with the v3 I think, massive improvement over oem

2.2

I chose the Jetex. It looks the best. And i purposely didnt want a BMC because i HATE those CDA things they make.
Theres arguably no 'better' performing of the 3, so choose purely on looks or cost if i were you.

Well its gone to have a new standard turbo as I somehow blew it up. Rear hub bent, t/c playing up, pipes split, n75 playing up, MAF playing up etc. hasnt been good so far with the car, I think its previously been neglected. once its back im going to try my best to get it to a good level again and take care of any issues it may have and do a few upgrades whilst im at it

Ok thanks for the feedback. I am thinking about the jetex but ideally I want a black filter as I don't like have a mixture of colours around the enginebay.

Pictured is V2 left not v2.2

Thanks for the Replys guys. I am right in saying the v2.2 is the one to go for from all the threads I've been reading...?

V2.2 is the best for the k04 turbo. But the v3/other eBay silicone TIPs are cheaper. Depends what you want I guess?

im after the v2.2 as its the better one to go for. going to buy all parts except heat shield as I want to somehow fit it all in the original air box, which I am presuming I will have to cut which I don't mind as im quite confident to do

I brought a pod filter off eBay (good brand can't remember what it is off the top of my head though) and it fits in the stock airbox without cutting it at all.

I would buy another airbox that you don't mind cutting up

Brilliant, from what time till when? im picking my car up at around 10am so will call when im home which is hopefully around 12. so hope for yout o be open still then

Sorry Bill! Had such a brilliant day getting it back I completely forgot! I'm going to call you up on Monday around 1 and buy some goodies
