Hi, i know there is a thread on fitting this wheel but it doesnt help me with what im trying to do.
Ive bought a wheel and for now just want to fit it without the controls. Eventually next year i would like to fit rns, dis etc so will do it all at once.
There is a list of parts but im not sure whats actually just needed to fit the wheel, can anyone help? Thanks

I've just fitted a non multifunction B7 wheel to mine. You need a highline steering wheel control module think, can't remember the two which are highline but mine is a Q module which is highline. You then need a B7 highline slipring with either A or B at the end of the part number and then a airbag connector which goes into the B7 slip ring (available from tps for £4)
You can also adapt your B6 harness and keep the B6 slipring if your confident in wiring things up. I will get full part numbers for you later

All info and part numbers are here.
If your not doing the multifunction right away then low line module and slip ring are fine. I have a low line B7 slipring you can have for £15 if you want(only good if you don't have cruise control)

If you have the B7 airbag harness I can tell you how to re wire that so you don't have to buy the B7 slip ring and won't have to do any coding with VCDS if you like

Appreciate the help guys! I do have cruise control thanks anyway! I have the wires coming from the 2 igniters that join into a yellow plug that comes out of the back of the wheel, is this the harness? So im going to need a slip ring and the control module?
Coding shouldnt be a problem, i have vcds but its just the can one, so will be selling and buying a can & hex cable

If you have cruise you should already have a highline module but check with VCDS

4 pin connector for the airbag harness is
4E0-972-133
As said get this from tps, I paid about £4, 2 weeks ago. You just need to swap this over with you B6 4 pin plug.

The slip ring is
4E0-953-541-A or B
Look on ebay for this.

And yes the thing with the two airbag connectors on is the airbag harness, this will plug into the B7 slip ring (won't fit the B6 one)
