Need some A6 help folks.

Looks like I am going to buy one of these two motors. What one do your recommend. Both are 2.0tdi (170), Avant is a 60 plate with 70k and the Le Mans Saloon is 59plate with 52k. Deal is I get to keep my 19inch rims (just bought new tyres), I think they would look good on the Avant.
Why am I changing? Bought the A4 in Feb and love it, apart from getting in and getting out of it (user name Big Greg for a reason), the tiny boot and the stiffness of the suspension. So the obvious motor is an A6 I would think. What do you think of these? I am getting £9500 for mine.

Both have the stiff s-line suspension so maybe you should be looking for an SE which has the more compliant suspension
 
Drove the Le Mans today and it was like driving a cloud compared to mine. It's a nice ride.

Personally I would go for the Avant. I'm also not keen on the black optics pack on the saloon.

I think the Le mans has it. Only thing missing is the 3.0 Diesel engine!!!!
 
but on a black car it just looks a bit, knight rider......
 
Know what you mean fella. Mine is the 2.0 too but it drives like a dream.

Prefer the 19" that you have in your A4 ( have those on mine too) to the ones on the Avant in the ad. Am close to switching to winter wheels / tyres....

Markjb. The right wheels make a car. I recently got new rubber all round and the true guy used four jacks and had all the wheels off at the same time. The car looked **** poor, I mean bad, Cavalier bad. Wheels on looks the biz! But owner happy for me to keep my rims if I to the Le Mans (his rims had just been refurbed but tyres were nothing special), my wheels are ok but got Falken rubber all round, chose after seeing great reviews. But not the Avant, does not want those rims on my car. He has a couple of A4's already same wheels, just look rank. Don't know what to do, wife says I am compromising as I have been on about a 3.0tdi A6 for months. She might be right.
 
Dude, only you can decide that one! Yep there's a bit of a difference in HP and if you get the 3.0 remapped it's a big difference.....

I went for the 2.0 for the lower running costs really. Plus I couldn't find a 3.0 in as mint condition as my 2.0 - have only had it a month now but has just turned 3 years old with less than 30k miles on the clock :)

3.2 engines like 3.0tdi (up to 2008) have a chain tensioners issue(mainly due to long life oil service).
