water loss

got a very curious water leak no evidence of a leak under the car but the level goes down quite quickly...
checked for mayo in the oil no sign so im stumped?
any ideas its a 1.8t avant

Radiator or heater matrix?

Look for pink residue on the end tanks.

I was loosing coolant once, but could no see the leak, got the system pressure tested and found a small leak
at the bottom of the radiator that only leaked under pressure. so had to change it.

cant see any residue anywhere ill see about getting the system tested

Check the header tank cap. If its loose and/or missing the sealing ring on the centre bit, it'll loose coolant there.

My S4 would appear to have water loss with no apparent leaks? It does however have some pink residue on the hoses from/to the expansion/filler tank. Any clues greatly received!
