Hi, can anyone help me? My tyres are 225/40 R 18 and I was wondering what psi to put into it? It says on the door panel bit that it should be 42 front and 41 back? Does that sound right?

It's an A3 1.4 TFSI, the tyres are 225/40 R18. Any idea on how I can find the right psi for these tyres?

Surely not 41psi!? Not even my Passat Estate with a full load runs this tyre pressure, you will just skate off the road when it's wet!
Depends on the load being put on tyres. I have the same tyres but as I have a large A4 saloon with the 3.0TDI lump, I'm running at 38psi all round with no issues. These are my winter tyres however.
