Hi there,
New member hopefully soon new audi owner. ... (Been waiting long enough) always had vw derv.

Been looking for a tdi s line avant and struggling to find the spec/mileage/price combination I want (the moon on a stick I know)
Went to view one which was advertised as immaculate in and out and was far from it....angry to say the least so....
One has come up close to me, but it's the 2.0 tfsi spec ed with all the extras. .....my questions. ....
It's done 95k ,with research I haven't found many at all for sale over 100k, does this mean they are sought after and snapped up or just don't last?

It's Got fash almost but hasn't had the pick up pipe or chain and tensioner done. I reckon I can get it for 6500 its mint. ..Good price?

I'm not too worried about fuel economy as I'm coming from an old mk4 golf tdi doing about 35. But sellability? And durability over the diesels?

It's The bul engine btw.

Thanks for your help

I bought mine with 80K something on the clocks for £6500 and quite happy with it.
Now it has 123k on the clock with no probs at all.
necessary investments i had to do start and end with cambelt kit, waterpump and a few oil changes and the robbery called road tax/insurance. the rest were voluntary upgrades/mods or preventative expenses. MPG wise i can end up anywhere between 22 and 35 depending on you driving style and length of journeys.
I would strongly recommend the oil pick up pipe change to prevent a future disaster from happening(get the newer revised pipe)
There's quite a few 2.0 tfsi gurus around here, who I'm sure will be with you in no time with more in depth info.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like you got a good one as I keep hearing horror stories but I suppose sh1t sticks.
What is the tax on these?
What sort of spec did you get for your buck?

road tax atm works out £280 a year. with the engines its a luck of the draw i gues some are bullet proof some are S***T.
Originally wanted an s-line spec avant in red colour ,but due to my lack of patience I grabed this one Still I think the £6500 as mentioned was a good deal considering it had just above 80k with 18'' alloys with new tyres, RNSE, multifunction steering wheel,s-line exterior package 3 previous owners.no smoke,no leaks. the interior was just basic, but in good condition and it was a standard 2.0 tfsi quattro, so I said yes I'll take it and never looked back.

Just don't know why I can't find many for sale with high mileage. Thanks for the info though, keep it coming!

I have the same with a remap. had no issues really.
Just the above expenses with oil changes etc and preventative expenses.

Oil cam chain, pickup pipe, cambelt etc. and ive replicated mine like an S4 lol so that expense aslo but meh, thats personal preference.

How much were the preventative measures. Just the oil can chain pick up pipe etc?
