All,

Winter detail complete. Full clay (using Carbon Collective Exfoli-mitt) , de-tarred and glazed with a spot of Zymol, windows coated with Nanolex and then the bodywork coated with 2 coats of Gtechniq EXO v2. Should see it through the winter months......

So after marking every single original Rotor, I decided that I needed to get them refurbished.

I looked into various options, but due to turnaround times, I decided to purchase a set of new wheels, and time the change over with my winter tyres being fitted.

New RS4 style.... and while it was in the garage I got them to fit my newly purchased H & R lowering springs.

Very happy with the look now, just hope the snow isn't too deep!!!

Anyone running winter rubber at the moment adjusted their pressures at all?

235/35 front, 225/35 rear....

I've posted before that I run 39/37 front/rear on my RS3 rather than the 41/39 specified.

OK, our car is 90% one or two up and little or no luggage but I/we find the ride improved and the wear across the face of the tyre more even than the centre wear we had on standard pressures.

Same on our TT; running 2psi under specification both summer and winter.
If and/or when the majority of your use is below 7ºC then that'll be the time to run cold weather/winter rubber; not for me/us yet, but soon...

No winter rubber on yet but it's waiting in the wings ready to go on.
