I hope that I'm wrong here, but I do know that - for example, you buy a secondhand VW radio etc, unless you can provide the details of the "mother car" it was originally fitted to, all you have is a collection of junk. Lots of on-line places sell CDs to cover and decode VW security numbers - they are telling lies as that application(s) only work for old school Phillips etc VW radios. What is needed to decode a VW radio is to read the code of the unit by using bespoke s/w and an IC clip. After that, the code read needs stuffed into another bit of s/w. Now, as Audi is slightly above VW in terms of technology, I'd expect their anti-theft features to be same or better.
