Is anyone running 235/35/19 on there S3? ( Non Sport back ) I know 215 or 225 is the one to go for but i don't like the stretched look and would like the extra rim protection. At the moment i am not lowered but looking at some APs at that point i will probably switch to 225.

The specs are
19
ET48
8.5

Anyone have any pictures i did a search but couldn't find anything solid

I am rubbish at offsets etc but I can tell you that squeezing 245 x 40 x 18s under the car was a real trial.

Someone will be along soon enough to tell you the real answers, but whilst the rear can be sorted easily enough, the front may be more of a problem.

that might be a push...I think 225 is the widest you can go on the back

when i bought my car it had replica RS3 Rotors on it. They were 19x8 ET45 and the front had 235/35/19 and the rear only fit 225/35/19

it was lowered on eibach sportline springs (lowering 40mm from SE height or around 20mm from s-line) and didn't rub. front occasionally caught though but that was rare.

hope that helps

The rear is less trouble as camber adjustment is possible and the wheel arch screw can be removed.
That took a 245x18x40 setup with no problem

The front we found more of an issue.

Hi Mate,

i got RS3 alloys on mine, with the same tires your talking about, you have to take the screw out and there fine.. Also mines lowerd 25mm and it sits great they fill the arches.. :)

ive got 19x8.5 et45 on the front no dramas but on the back i'm rubbing even with the bumper screw removed. that doesn't sound right with what i'm reading above, more camber requried?

How much rear camber are you running?

Mine runs 2.5degrees negative,for 245 x 40 x 18s on the rear.

Thats about as much as you'd want to run without getting serious uneven wear over a period of time, but it should cure your problem.

mine is as low as i could get it with just 18's and i couldnt get 235's on the back at all. front is easy.

I didn't go for as low as possible.....around 20-30mm in all,but getting 245s under the back wasn't a problem, with the correct amount of camber(which we wanted anyway),whereas the front really was difficult, and required adjustable topmounts to get the camber right,as well as some clever work with the front wings(not rolling them ).
