Hi All,

Just thought i would share my first scan. A few faults came up and one im worried about ! comments welcome...

Car is an 09 S3 Revo stage 1

You will see it has flagged low fuel pressure once and over 1000 miles ago. I took her out for a spirited drive after clearing for around 30 miles and the fault didn't reappear. I did run it very low on fuel at the begining of the month (vapor's) as i was determined to get to the shell garage for vmax. Could this of caused the problem or just a glitch or sign of a worn HPFP ? I have never had an Engine light on.

Also it says Nav and radio Ariel short to ground. Is this a known issue and is there a fix ? this fault reappeared straight after being cleared... The Nav is very slow to initialize, it takes around 2 minutes to lock on, is this normal ?

LOL :) I do love it :) just a little slow to initialize but once it has it never drops signal. Also no issue with radio reception ?

Don't worry about the signal, every single audi will come up with the same fault even if just out of factory. God knows why they do but they do, it's laughable!

Any thoughts on the low fuel pressure?

I'd check your cam follower is worn through first.
Then what fuel setting are you running on Revo stage 1? As it's only picked the code up at 6700 rpm.

I have no errors in my rnse.

Has the Rnse been retrofitted do you know? They can have antenna issues showing up on vcds due to the different radio ariel set up but still work ok

I'm going to change the pump and follower in the new year for stage 2+ :)

I'm not sure if it's been retrofitted? It's got the Bose speakers.

I suspect you may be right though as if they have been fitted after don't you mount the nav ariel somewhere in the dash? Could this explain the slow initialization?

Yes if the hockey puck is used normally it gets tucked under the dash. Do you have a sharkfin or Bluetooth?

NO idea on the Revo Fuel settings, i don't have the SPS... Its odd as the car has done around 12000 miles on stage 1 and from the log it has only happened once if i have interpreted it correctly ? :s

I have Sharkfin Ariel and bluetooth for the handsfree. Is that what you meant ?

Cheers

Yeah that's it, if you have Bluetooth then you will have a sharkfin as it does either or both dependant on spec.
If you pull the rnse from the dash, you'll know for sure.

With bluetooth the module is in a small plastic "briefcase" under the passenger seat, under the carpet. If you slid the seat right back and lifted the access panel for the seat wiring and look towards the handbrake under the seat, you should be able to see if there's a plastic box or a piece of polystyrene where it would be.
