Hi All,

Looking at buying an S3 early next year (3 door) wondering if there are any face lifts, spec/option changes etc in the pipe line don't want to be caught out.

Thanks
Dan

Year changes are usually, but not exclusively around BW22. Slight changes to spec can happen, this year it was Estoril discontinued and Sepang introduced as well as tyre pressure monitoring introduced as standard and a couple of other changes. With us entering year3 for the 8V we will see an RS3 introduced at some point and may see a special edition (Black?) for the A3 and S3, or we may not, it is just speculation at the moment, but around BW22 is usually the change period. HTHs.

I understand your concern and question but any comments at this stage would be purely conjecture. None of us on this forum AFAIK have any inside track to Audi. Even the dealers are never told what is changing until very late in the game. It's a case of Need To Know and none of us do! The 8v range was introduced in 2012 and any tinkering to design or spec will be just that - tinkering. I've no idea when the next completely new model will be coming but I think you can go ahead and safely buy your new S3 next year. I think the model year changes (whatever they are) come around May time.

Sept 12 was the launch of the 8V so it would be safe to assume that a face lift is every 3 1/2 to 4 years following experince with other model facelifts. I reckon we will see a face lift announced this sort of time 2016 with deliveries early 2017.

Thanks for the replies, looks a safe bet for next year then! Cheers
