Anybody know if there is a coding to disable the driver door chime when it is open and the engine is on?

What do you mean by heater vent dial lighting mate ?

The wheels that you move to open and close the dash vents have lighting behind then if you have the lighting fitted at factory.

Advance key is a factory fit only.........unless you want to put in a lot of work and replace looms etc.

Although, I have it and it was on my "must have" list as had it on the last car too and its fantastic, although I must say its better on BMW.

Audi Advance key covers:
Key stays in pocket and doors unlocked by grabbing the handle.
Seat and wing mirror location are set automatically

BMW comfort key covers:
Key stays in pocket and doors unlock by grabbing the door handle.
Seat, wing mirror and stearing comlum are set automatically.
diff key also remmbers induvidual AC settings, satnav customisation, audio customisation (diff key - diff bass/trebble and equaliser settings), last sourc used etc.

The BMW stores all that info to each key, even exterior light settings, its veyr good.

Both versions are great if two or more people are using the car.

cracking build thread, like some of the features added, got a pic of the vent lights?
fair bit of graft there to complete the build, good job.

Anyone know the security code on a B8.5 facelift for the Parking Brake menu.
I want to turn off the Seatbelt recognition for releasing the parking brake.
Its a pain to have to clip the belt in just to move the car up the drive

Can you put your foot on the brake, then press the handbrake button to release the parking brake? I can in mine but they may have changed it from B8-8.5.

Try this:

[53 - Parking Brake][Security Access - 16] (Enter code shown by VCDS)
[Adaptation - 10] -> Channel 4 Set to 0

Remember what value channel 4 was before you change it so that if it doesn't work, you can put it back to standard.

I can use the footbrake but my drive is on a hill with the nose of the car close to the garage door. Therefore doing the footbrake/accelerator shuffle is a bit risky.

I have tried the above VCDS menu's but the code presented by VCDS does not unlock the security access. Therefore I assume this is a B8.5 difference.

What codes have you ??

Goggle is your friend :

[53 - Parking Brake][Security Access - 16] (Enter code shown by VCDS or 78713 for B8.5 Facelift)
Then select the option to disable seatbelt recognition

I also switched to Manual Release rather Manual with Footbrake.

Hey Liquidfusion, did you figure this one out as a permanent solution?

Sorry I never got around to looking into it, although I remember someone saying you have to press the right button to turn off the sound when the door is open
No chance of looking at it anymore, I've turned to the dark side - S3 :)
